We work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to help children excel in the classroom. Through targeted interventions and ongoing support, we address social skills, handwriting, sensory needs, and more, all within the school setting.
By observing each child in their natural school environment, we can better understand their challenges and implement strategies that promote success. Our team collaborates closely with educators to ensure consistent support, helping students feel confident and engaged throughout the school day.
Typically 5-18 years old (primary and secondary school)
Ongoing, scheduled during school hours
Flexible session times arranged with the school
1:1 or small-group sessions, depending on needs
We partner directly with schools to assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy that meets each student's goals. Whether focusing on motor skills, social participation, or classroom routines, our in-school services are practical and tailored. We address handwriting, fine motor and visual-motor integration, classroom engagement and peer interactions, self-regulation and sensory strategies for better focus, as well as functional life skills and organisational skills. By working on these areas in the school setting, children can build competence and confidence where it matters most, making progress happen right in the classroom.
At Curious Minds, our Occupational Therapists provide mobile visits throughout the South Western Sydney area. We support NDIS Self-Managed and Plan-Managed clients, offering expert and personalised services in the comfort of your own home or local community.
